The successful candidate will work on the LingUMT research project (Linguistically Motivated Stategies for Unsupervised Machine Translation). LingUMT aims at exploring, defining and implementing linguistically motivated strategies for unsupervised machine translation. For this purpose, we will use monolingual corpora focusing on concepts such as contextualized meaning, distributional-based similarity, semantic compositionality, and syntactic-semantic constructions.
