Call for applications: research initiation contracts at CiTIUS

The USC opens a public merit-based competition for the recruitment of research staff at the Research Center on Intelligent Technologies (CiTIUS).

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CONTRACT(S)

Type of contract: Contract for obtaining professional practice.
Number of places: 12.
Work to be carried out: Obtaining professional research practice in the field of intelligent technologies through the design, planning and implementation of technological solutions, under the supervision of a CiTIUS researcher with the aim of being able to carry out a doctoral thesis in the future.
Functions to be carried out: Analysis of the progress of technologies related to the CiTIUS Scientific Areas. Development of new methodological solutions and computational models. Implementation of technological solutions, presentation and discussion of the results. Publication of research work, participation in training activities and completion of the Master's thesis under the supervision of the tutor.
Gross monthly salary: 750,00 €.
Duration of contract: 12 months.
Planned start date: From the day after the date of the rector's selection decision.
Working hours: Part-time (27.5 hours per week) 09:00 14:30 (Timetable compatible with training activities).
Working category: Researcher in initiation.

REQUIREMENTS AND MERITS OF THE CANDIDATES

Degree in the field of Intelligent Technologies Degree in the field of Intelligent Technologies.

Applicants must:

Have completed their studies within the three years prior to the start date of the contract or five years in the case of people with disabilities (expected start date 01/12/2022).
Not have professional experience in the USC in the field of research for more than 3 months.

MERITS TO BE ASSESSED

Item nº 1: Average grade in a degree in a discipline related to Intelligent Technologies (30 points)
Item nº 2: Enrolment in an official master's degree in degrees related to the scientific fields of CiTIUS in the academic year 2022-2023 (10 points)
Item nº 3: Commitment to carry out the final master's thesis at CiTIUS, under the supervision of a researcher linked to CiTIUS (25 points)
Item nº 4: Curriculum vitae of the candidate, including participation or collaboration in scientific activities and specific training related to the scientific fields of the CiTIUS, accreditable through courses, end-of-degree work, academic internships, scientific publications, contributions presented at scientific meetings or activities in scientific projects (10 points).
Item nº 5: Personal interview. A entrevista realizarase unicamente ás persoas candidatas que na suma do resto dos méritos consigan un mínimo de 50 puntos (25 puntos).
