CiTIUS Summer Scholarships 2026

Annual call for the CiTIUS Summer Fellowships, which in 2026 offers 15 grants to undergraduate students who wish to have their first research experience in the field of Intelligent Technologies (IT). The Fellowships will preferably fund these stays during the upcoming month of July, with the aim that the beneficiaries can develop a research project within the framework of the CiTIUS Scientific Areas.

The selected group of students will thus have a first contact with research in areas such as reliable AI, language technologies, machine learning and automated reasoning, robotics, high-performance computing, virtual and augmented reality, computer vision, data and process science and engineering, or electronic design of intelligent devices. In addition, during the fellowship period, the students will be able to participate in the training activities developed at CiTIUS, which include attendance at courses, lectures by internationally renowned researchers, or presentations of the most up-to-date software tools in the field of IT.

The grants are endowed with €850 gross plus an allowance for students not resident in Santiago de Compostela intended to finance travel expenses, with a maximum amount of up to €300 for students from outside Galicia, and up to €80 for students residing in other municipalities of the Autonomous Community.
