There are currently several ways to fund the pre-doctoral stage.
- Pre-doctoral grants from the Xunta de Galicia: grants for doctors training financing a 3-year contract that includes a 3-month stay abroad.
- University Teacher Training - FPU: state grant for PhDs training financing a 4-year contract, with the possibility of participating in teaching tasks.
- Research Staff Training - FPI: state grant for pre-doctoral researchers, linked to a research project of the National Plan, with a duration of 3 years.
- USC and Santander pre-doctoral contracts: contracts to finance the first two years of the pre-doctoral stage, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 3 years and with a grant for a stay of up to 3 months.
- InPhINIT scholarships of the Fundación la Caixa: 3-year grants for doctoral studies in Spain, which include a specific training programme.
- Industrial doctorates: state aid for the development of a doctoral thesis in collaboration with an industrial partner.
- Research and transfer projects: development of a doctoral thesis associated with one of our R&D projects.
