Conference "The transformation of scientific knowledge into applied knowledge"

In recent years, research evaluation systems have led to the quantification of the publications and their prestige, displacing other more appropriate and comprehensive indexes. This has resulted in a large number of publications without actually be a correlation with the transfer of such research to society. The same fact can be applied to the creation of patents that are not being transferred to society and industry.

Juan Luis Castro Peña, professor at the University of Granada and CEO of Virtual Solutions, will reflect in his speech about the danger of using biased evaluation rates and he will opt for a path toward the achievement of results in the productive and social fields.

This conference opens the II Master's Degree in Information Technologies given by Citius and the School of Engineering.
