Conferencia - Maximal Curvature-based Segmentation of 3D Vessel Contours and lastest development of the AMILab Software
In the first part of the talk, professor Krissian will talk about the segmentation of three-dimensional vascular trees as an important topic in medical image processing. The second part of the talk will focus on AMILab Software: Medical Image Analysis, Processing and Visualization
Karl Krissian é doutor en informática con especialidade en procesamento de imaxes médicas. Presentou a súa tese doutoral no INRIA de Sophia-Antipolis, no tema de segmentación multiescala de estruturas vasculares tridimensionais. Realizou una estadía no laboratorio de Luís Álvarez na Universidad de Las Palmas, onde traballa agora como investigador do programa Ramón y Cajal. Realizou outra estadía de 4 anos en Boston, onde traballou no Surgical Planning Laboratory, Brigham and Women ́s Hospital, afiliado á Harvard Medical School. Os seus temas principais de investigación son: a redución de ruído en imaxes médicas de varias modalidades e a segmentación de estruturas vasculares
