Doctoral Meeting: 'Energy-efficient CMOS power management units for energy harvesting applications'
Energy harvesting plays a key role in the development of fully autonomous, long-life systems that do not require batteries, as these must be periodically replaced and increase the size and maintenance of the devices. The replacement of batteries with energy harvesting systems is therefore highly appealing for a wide range of applications, including wireless sensor networks and implantable medical devices. This Doctoral Meeting addresses the development of fully autonomous energy harvesting systems based on natural ambient sources of both DC and AC nature.
