Doctoral meeting: 'Ultra-low power CMOS circuit design for energy harvesting applications'
Micro-energy harvesting systems are characterized by the fact that they are capable of harvesting very small amounts of energy from the environment, at most few microwatts, so that all the building blocks in this type of systems should consume as low energy as possible. This is why the work carried out in this thesis has focused on the design of microelectronic circuits with ultra-low power consumption, with values around the nanowatt.
The blocks under study were mainly reference voltages, voltage regulators and charge pumps, which are essential components in a energy harvester as well as widely used circuits in many applications.
