‘Get closer to CiTIUS’: Open Day for USC undergraduate and master's degree students
The Research Centre on Intelligent Technologies (CiTIUS) will hold a special information session on Thursday, May 8, aimed at undergraduate and master's students from the University of Santiago de Compostela. This event offers a unique opportunity to learn about the research carried out at the center and discover pathways to start a scientific career.
The center opens its doors to USC undergraduate and master’s students for the third edition of 'Get to Know CiTIUS'
The session will begin with a welcome presentation by the center’s management team, highlighting the main opportunities available to students: from the CiTIUS Summer Fellowships and entry-level research contracts to the new professional paths enabled by two chairs recently awarded to USC and led by CiTIUS: the USC – Plexus Chair in Artificial Intelligence applied to Precision Personalized Medicine and the USC – Televés Chair in Microelectronics.
Afterwards, attendees will join a guided tour of the Robotics, Microelectronics and Intangible Realities labs, designed to showcase practical examples of current research and the technological challenges being tackled at the center. In the Robotics Lab, students will learn about collaborative arms and mobile platforms; in the Microelectronics Lab, equipment for chip design and characterization; and in the Intangible Realities Lab, a multi-user virtual reality space equipped with immersive technologies.
The event will take place at the CiTIUS Assembly Hall from 12:00 to 13:30. Attendance is free for USC students, but registration is required via the official event form.
