Lecture: 'Artificial Intelligence as a fundamental and differentiating component in software applications for chemistry, biochemistry and biology'

Artificial intelligence plays a key role in accelerating the research and development of new compounds and entities in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical and food industries. Discover in this talk some of its applications, with practical examples, as well as its impact on the value chain responsible for developing solutions to our health, food, energy and environmental problems.

The talk will present some of the AI projects being carried out at Mestrelab Research, a world-leading scientific software company that originated as a spin-off from the USC. Mestrelab is located in Santiago de Compostela, and among other projects, is launching the Mestrelab Research Centre for the design of new high added value digital tools for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors in Galicia.
