Lecture: ‘Big Pont Clouds == Deep Information? Current Progress in Geospatial 3D/4D Point Cloud Analysis’
Bernhard Höfle is currently a Professor of GIScience and three-dimensional (3-D) spatial data processing in the Institute of Geography, Heidelberg University, Heidelberg, Germany.
He is also a member of the executive board of the Heidelberg Center for the Environment, the Cochair of the working group geoinformatics of the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DGPF), and a council member of the International Society for Digital Earth.
His research interests include GIS algorithms, object-based image and 3-D point cloud analysis, multisource geoinformation fusion, 3-D SDI, light detection and ranging (LiDAR) applications in geosciences, and radiometric calibration and analysis of LiDAR data.
