Round table: 'I've got my PhD: what's next?'
CiTIUS graduates Estefanía Otero (Lookiero), David Chapela (Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu), Cristina Gamallo (Situm Technologies), Pablo Rodríguez Mier (Institute for Computational Biomedicine, Heidelberg University) and Martín Pereira (Facultade de Filosofía, USC) will star next week in the second edition of the round table 'I have my thesis: what now?', which will take place in the auditorium of the centre next Wednesday, 21 December, from 11:30.
These five doctors, with different professional careers, will debate with the centre's researchers on how to approach their professional career after finishing their thesis, addressing issues such as opportunities and expectations for the future or the reasons for going abroad or staying, as well as different personal experiences and some advice on how to approach their professional career, both before and after finishing their thesis.
The panel discussion will have a special focus on audience participation, and will be moderated by the centre's postdoctoral researcher Fernando Estévez.
The event will be held in a hybrid format. At the end of the event, participants will have the opportunity to meet with the invited guests over an aperitif, which will also be attended by all CiTIUS staff who visit the centre in person to participate in the event.
