Lecture: 'The regulation of Artificial Intelligence and Rule of Law: challenges and opportunities'

The artificial intelligence (AI) regulatory project in Spain and the European Union has advanced significantly. In the EU, a regulation has been proposed to ensure that AI systems are safe and encourage investment and innovation in Europe. This regulation seeks to regulate AI with a risk-based approach.

During Spain's Presidency of the EU Council, a provisional agreement was reached on the European regulation on the use of AI to protect citizens' rights in the face of these digital tools.

However, this Regulation is still insufficient and we can go further in Spain. Therefore, in this lecture we will address how we can be up to such a positive development as AI, far from a technophobic discourse.
