'Compos(tech)la': smart technologies hit the streets on the occasion of the 'Santiago en Vivo' event

The center joins this weekend's innovation and technology meeting promoted within the framework of the initiative 'Santiago en Vivo', with a comprehensive outreach program that aims to engage with society from the Alameda park in Santiago.

The CiTIUS will participate this weekend in the technological meeting Compos(tech)la, one of the events organized around the initiative Santiago en Vivo, which will turn the capital of Galicia into a showcase of innovation, science, and technology from June 6 to 8.

The fair, which will be held on June 7 and 8 in the Alameda Park, is designed as an open space for all citizens, where they can experiment with robots, immersive virtual reality, AI models applied to health, language, or sustainability, and other demonstrations of the latest cutting-edge advancements.

Technology within everyone's reach

From their space in the University of Santiago de Compostela tent, the CiTIUS will showcase over two days some of their most innovative research lines, with an informative, participatory, and accessible approach. The program will include practical experiences, commented demonstrations, and even a round table on AI and society.

Santiago en Vivo: a city that transforms

CiTIUS's participation in Compos(tech)la is part of the Santiago en Vivo program, a movement that seeks to transform Compostela into a benchmark of economic, social, and cultural dynamism. Through activities combining technology, culture, gastronomy, and sports, the event aims to promote the city and local talent, reinforce the sense of belonging, and revitalize the economic fabric.

In this context, CiTIUS (a center co-financed by the European Union through the Galicia Feder 2021-2027 Program) contributes by showing its commitment to knowledge transfer to society, bringing its research to people of all ages, and demonstrating how science and technology can improve everyday life.
