
The Transfiresaúde project is presented: a boost to innovation and artificial intelligence in the field of healthcare
The main objective of the project, in which CiTIUS participates, is to strengthen the health research and innovation ecosystem in the Galicia-North Portugal Euroregion.
The Eurocidade Chaves-Verín, AECT became this Thursday 27th the stage for the presentation of the TransfireSaúdeproject, an initiative that promises to revolutionize the field of health through the integration of advanced technology, artificial intelligence and the promotion of personalized medicine. This event was an outstanding collaboration between Spain and Portugal within the framework of the Interreg VI Cooperation Program.
The day began at 10:00 am, 9:00 am in Portugal, with the reception of guests at the Hotel Aquae Flaviae, in Chaves. Throughout the morning, many topics of interest to the specialized and general public were addressed, in addition to sharing moments of exchange of experiences and ideas among professionals in the sector.
These issues were brought together around two thematic tables: the first dealt with 'Technology, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence in Health, Training and Work' and included the participation of Marta Núñez García, researcher at CiTIUS; the second analyzed 'the role of research in Health for the promotion of Personalized Precision Medicine', with special emphasis on primary care.
One of the highlights of the day was the official presentation of the TransfireSaúde project, where the objectives, strategies and expectations of this initiative were detailed. The presentation was attended by José María Romero Fidalgo, Director of the Health Development and Innovation Area of ACIS, Andrea Ogando Vidal, Innovation Manager at the University of Vigo, and Manuel Lama Penín, Full Professor linked to the Center for Research in Information Technology of the University of Santiago de Compostela (CiTIUS), an institution recognized for its work in the development and implementation of innovative technologies in various fields, including health.
The presentation day of the TransfireSaúde project represented a significant step towards the modernization of healthcare services in the Iberian region, and the active participation of CITIUS reinforced the relevance of research and technology in the creation of advanced and effective medical solutions.
