USC was recognised by the European Commission with the "HR Excellence in Research" accreditation in 2017. This accreditation identifies European institutions and organisations that offer and support favourable working conditions and a motivating environment for research staff.

The USC and CiTIUS are committed to excellence in the management of teams and people as well as to maintaining a stimulating and motivating environment for the development of research and therefore subscribe to the principles of the European Charter for Research Staff and the The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
