César Díaz Parga

I am graduated in Computer Engineering from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2021) and a student in the Doctoral Program in Research in Information Technologies since 2022. Since 2023, I have been developing my work as pre-doctoral researcher supported by a fellowship from the Xunta de Galicia.

My academic and professional journey is deeply rooted in artificial intelligence and its applications in diverse domains. Initially, my research focused on open-world person and object recognition in video data streams. However, since 2024, my doctoral thesis has shifted towards applying machine learning techniques to ultrasound imaging, aiming to detect fetal growth issues, trying to address the bias present in the diagnostic process.

Beyond my core research, I had the privilege of participating in the AI Song Contest 2023 as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising four researchers from CiTIUS and the PAMP! team. Together, we developed an innovative AI model to tackle the complex task of recreating the voice of the iconic Galician singer Ana Kiro, representing Galicia in this international competition.
