Raquel Dosil Lago

I am assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Computing at (USC) since 2023. Although I graduated in Physics in 1999, my research background is focused on computer vision and intelligent video analysis. I got my PhD in 2005 under the doctoral program in Electronics and Computer Science. Later I held different postdoctoral research and teaching positions in the Department of Electronics and Computing.

Between 2011 and 2023 I was part of the Galician Telecommunications Technological Center (Gradiant) as a researcher in the Video Analytics line of the Multimodal Information Area. During the last 5 years I assumed the position of Technical Manager of Video Analytics. Over this period, I have participated in multiple applied R&D projects, with a strong orientation towards technology transfer, aimed at sectors such as biomedical imaging, video surveillance, smart cities, industrial vision, remote sensing, and UAV navigation safety.
