QUIRAV: Advanced Operating Room
The objective of the QUIRAV project is to advance in the development of systems for managing advanced operating rooms. QUIRAV will explore new ways of applying ICT technologies to integrate the different technologies of the environment, analyzing medical processes and medical data, developing augmented reality interfaces for interacting with medical equipment, and optimizing the coordination between medical and non-medical staff.
Objectives
The main objective of the Project is to build a system to aid medical staff in the decision making of operation rooms. In more detail, the objectives of the project are the following:
- To structure and make compatible the data of the medical electronic devices, diagnosis devices and environmental control devices presented in the operating room
- To allow the analysis of the information generated in surgical procedures
- To aid in the decision making process using real time information
- To provide information for the medical staff in an efficient and ergonomic way, by means of natural interfaces
