Dynamic Model of On-Chip Inverting Capacitive Charge Pumps with Charge Reusing
This paper presents a dynamic model for on-chip
inverting capacitive charge pumps driven by two non-overlapping
clock signals implementing the charge reusing technique to
mitigate the efficiency loss due to the charge and discharge
process of the parasitic capacitances during the falling edge of
one clock signal and the rising edge of the other. The model
is validated with both circuit-level simulations and experimental
results showing high accuracy. An application example in micro
energy harvesting is shown.
