In this chapter we gloss the leading figure of prof. Enric Trillas as a teacher, researcher and scientific manager and his role in the study and dissemination of the fuzzy sets theory, fuzzy logic and related subjects. Our aim is to focus on the personal and scientific influence of Prof. Trillas in the University of Santiago de Compostela, among whose students and teaching staff has had an indelible mark.
