Lead a new line of artificial intelligence research from CiTIUS
At CiTIUS, we support outstanding researchers to build and lead their own research agenda in a top AI environment, with a clear pathway to a permanent position.
Working conditions
An opportunity for internationally leading researchers currently working abroad who are considering relocating to Europe to build a long-term research program
- 3–4 year contract to develop your research project.
- Gross annual salary between €80,000 and €110,000.
- Research funding of up to €1 million to support your project (up to €1.2 million for researchers coming from the United States), including researcher salary.
At the end of this period, you will access a permanent position at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), the institution with the greatest national success in the first edition of this program, having successfully recruited 3 of the 31 researchers selected nationwide.

Requirements
Candidates interested in applying to the ATRAE Program must have:
- A doctoral degree obtained before January 1, 2019.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in foreign research centers between January 1, 2020, and the starting date for applications.
