CiTIUS Summer Fellowships 2026
Summer is just around the corner… and that means a new edition of the CiTIUS Summer Fellowships Program is here! If you are currently pursuing a degree related to Artificial Intelligence or Intelligent Technologies, this could be your opportunity to begin your research journey: CiTIUS is offering 15 new fellowships to carry out a summer research stay at the centre. Submit your application before May 18!
CiTIUS is launching a new edition of its Summer Fellowships programme, an initiative that has been bringing university students closer to research in Intelligent Technologies for twelve consecutive years. The 2026 call will offer 15 fellowships aimed at undergraduate students interested in experiencing their first research placement at an internationally recognised research centre in Artificial Intelligence.
The fellowships will take place throughout July and will allow participating students to join projects linked to the CiTIUS Scientific Areas, gaining first-hand insight into the work carried out by the centre’s research groups.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to explore scientific areas such as Language Technologies, Trustworthy AI, Machine Learning and Reasoning, Robotics, High-Performance Computing, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Computer Vision, Data and Process Science and Engineering, or Electronic Design of Intelligent Devices. In addition to their research activities, participants will also have access to the CiTIUS training programme, including specialised courses, seminars, and talks by internationally renowned researchers.
Each fellowship includes a gross grant of €850, as well as additional travel support for students living outside Santiago de Compostela: up to €300 for students coming from outside Galicia, and up to €80 for those residing in other municipalities within the region.
The application period will remain open until May 18.
