Industrial Doctorates 2025
The Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, through the Galician Agency for Innovation and the General Secretariat of Universities, calls for the fifth edition of the Industrial Doctorate grants on July 18, 2025. This support will allow the hiring of 15 doctoral students in companies and Galician innovation and technology centers to develop their doctoral thesis.
Objectives
- Promote the transfer of knowledge and research results from Galician universities to the market, in sectors of strategic interest for Galicia.
- Attract, train, and retain talent, facilitating that PhD students develop research projects in companies while obtaining an industrial doctorate.
- Encourage the incorporation of young PhD staff into companies, creating new professional opportunities.
- Strengthen the linkage between companies and the universities of the SUG, promoting the identification of innovation needs in the business fabric and the design of solutions by the universities.
Specific requirements for candidates
- Must have nationality from an EU country (1 position may be admitted for non-EU citizens).
- Must be enrolled, admitted, or in conditions to enroll in an official doctoral program at a SUG university (2024/2025 or 2025/2026 course).
- The completion date of studies must be on or after January 1, 2021. Exceptions: degrees completed since January 1, 2018 are accepted in special cases specified in the call.
- Must not hold a Doctorate degree.
