José Carlos Cabaleiro Domínguez

I got my BS in Physics at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in 1989 and obtained a Ph.D. in Physics at the same university in 1994. From 1990 until 1994 I was an associate professor in the Faculty of Computing of the University of A Coruña (Spain). From 1994 I was an associate professor in the area of Computer Architecture in the Department of Electronics and Computing at the University of Santiago de Compostela, until 2022, when I have become full professor. Since 2010 I am a member of CiTIUS.

My main lines of interest include the architecture of parallel systems, the development of parallel algorithms for irregular problems and with sparse matrices, prediction and improvement of the performance of parallel applications, optimization of the memory hierarchy in irregular problems, and development of applications and middleware for grid and cloud. In developing efficient scientific applications, my interest is in 3D point cloud processing obtained from remote sensors like LiDAR.
