Nicolás Vilela Pérez

I graduated in Computer Engineering from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) in 2023 and, subsequently, in 2024, I obtained a Master's Degree in Big Data Analysis Technologies at the same university. Since 2024, I have been working toward a PhD in Information Technology Research.

My research at CiTIUS focuses on the processing of multi- and hyperspectral remote sensing images, specifically on the development and application of computational cost optimization techniques to deep learning models. A practical application of these models is the identification of different types of plant species and observable elements in this type of image.
