MegaLands: Megalithic landscapes: exploring human-enviromental drivers of neolithic societes in northwest iberia (5nd-2nd millenium BCE)

The project's innovative integration of archaeological, environmental and temporal analyses will provide new insights of the megalithic phenomenon in NW Iberia, contributing significantly to the broader field of Neolithic studies in the Iberian Peninsula. The project will develop an artificial intelligence model for the automatic detection of mounds over LiDAR data and will apply them to the selected regions, aiming to identify landforms that could correspond to megalithic tumuli.
