QEX: Quantum Excellence Centre

QEX is the first European Quantum Excellence Centre (QEX) in Europe, funded by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), with Spain participating through the Galicia Supercomputing Centre (CESGA), CiTIUS, IGFAE, and CITIC (UDC). This centre, driven by a consortium of 11 partners from five EU Member States, aims to advance the development of quantum technologies and ensure European leadership in quantum computing.

Objectives

QEX will function as a comprehensive hub/one-stop shop for quantum computing applications and tools, empowering scientific users, businesses, and European industries to harness the potential of these technologies. Through specialized training programs and personalized support, QEX will train highly qualified quantum computing professionals across Europe while helping users adapt and co-develop quantum applications, thereby ensuring readiness for the next era of computing.
