- Juan de la Cierva Training Contracts: 2-year state contracts for recent PhD graduates who will complement their training at a centre other than the one where they did their pre-doctoral training.
- Ramón y Cajal contracts, young people category: 5-year state contracts for postdoctoral researchers with at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience, with additional support for hiring staff and purchasing equipment. These contracts facilitate access to other research resources, such as the Xunta de Galicia's Excellence Projects.
- Beatriz Galindo contracts, junior modality: grants for the hiring of postdoctoral researchers with a maximum of 7 years of postdoctoral research experience abroad for 4 years.
- La Caixa Foundation Junior Leader Grants: 3-year grants to carry out a postdoctoral research project in Spain, including a specific training programme.
- Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF): 2-year European grants for young PhDs who wish to continue their research career in a European country other than their usual country of residence.
- Marie Sklodowska-Curie Global Fellowships (MSCA-GF): European contracts for young PhDs of up to 3 years, including two years in a research centre outside Europe and a one-year return phase to Europe.
- ERC Starting Grant: high-level European scientific projects for young researchers with between 2 and 7 years of postdoctoral experience. The projects have a duration of 5 years and a maximum budget of €1.5M and can be combined with grants from the Oportunius Programme.
- Oportunius Programme: regional grant for researchers who have obtained an ERC project and wish to establish their research group in Galicia, including a stable employment contract and complementary funding during and after the end of the ERC project.
- Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF): 2-year European contracts for young PhDs with up to 8 years of postdoctoral experience who wish to continue their research career in a European country other than their usual residence.
- Marie Sklodowska-Curie Global Fellowships (MSCA-GF): European contracts for young PhDs with up to 8 years of postdoctoral experience. The fellowships have a duration of up to 3 years, comprising two years at a research centre outside Europe and a one-year return phase to Europe.

- Oportunius Programme: regional grant for researchers who have obtained an ERC project and wish to establish their research group in Galicia, including a stable employment contract and complementary funding during and after the end of the ERC project.
- ERC Advanced Grants: high scientific level European projects for researchers with more than 12 years of postdoctoral experience. The projects have a duration of 5 years and a maximum budget of €2.5M and can be combined with grants from the Oportunius programme.
- Oportunius Programme: regional support for researchers who have obtained an ERC project and wish to establish their research group in Galicia, including a stable employment contract and complementary funding during and after the end of the ERC project.
- ATRAE Programme: national grants for the attraction of consolidated researcherswith at least 5 years of professional experience abroad, including the creation of a permanent job post. The projects have a duration of 3 or 4 years and a maximum budget of 1M€, including the costs of hiring the PI.
