TELGalicia: Technology-Enhanced Learning en Galicia

TELGalicia Network tries to improve the use of technologies in the classroom taking into account both technological and pedagogical methodologies. TELGalicia is composed of 13 research groups: 7 groups of the University of Santiago de Compostela, 7 groups of the University of Vigo, 3 other Spanish groups and 3 groups of reference non-Spanish Universities.

Objectives

The objectives of the network are:

To develop a notable set of educational resources based on ICT technologies (e.g., multimedia resources, animated resources, educational games). The quality of the resources would be proved by means of practical evaluations.
To design and promote activities and educational plans by means of good practice guidelines designed for educators. Activities and educational plans will be tested with educators in order to facilitate its use and motivate the educational staff.
To experiment and promote more flexible e-learning systems designed to facilitate the development of educational activities and plans by primary and secondary teachers.
To contribute to the diffusion and use of ICT technologies in the classroom.
To test and promote the use of retrieval information systems, software assistants and recommendation systems in the classroom, as a way of enhancing the use of ICT technologies between teachers and students, taking into account their skills and the available ICT resources.
