Jesús María Rodríguez Presedo

I am an associate professor of Computer Science at University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Also belong to Intelligent Systems Group (GSI), a research group that has an experience of over 20 years in the development of systems for intelligent patient monitoring. Furthermore, I have been secretary of the Telefónica Telemedicine Chair at University of Santiago de Compostela and president of the organizing committee of the Annual Congress of the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering 2004 (CASEIB2004), and participated, either as partner or as a principal investigator, in numerous projects with industry, among which Endesa As Pontes or CIS from Ferrol.

My research interests are related to the intelligent telemonitoring of patients in real time. I have worked on projects related to monitoring of patients with sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (SAHS), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) or heart failure. My interests include digital signal processing applied to the processing of all types of physiological signals, primarily ECG and SaO2.
